Jordan & Laura Grindle
The Texas District Youth Department is pleased to have Jordan and Laura Grindle as the Youth President. Bro. and Sis. Grindle are excited about this opportunity to serve the students of Texas District. Their love for today’s youth has been evident through their many years of working youth camps and being actively involved in other youth functions at the sectional and district levels. Jordan grew up in the small East Texas town of Alto, located just 30 miles north of Lufkin. After high school, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX where he earned a Bachelors of Administration in Finance. He then attended Texas Bible College for one year, receiving a diploma of completion. During this time, he served Calvary Tabernacle of Alto as the youth pastor and assistant pastor. Prior to attending TBC, Jordan met Laura Knowles while they both worked at Texas youth camps. Later, they met again at TBC, and their relationship grew. Laura, a native of Groves, TX, would continue at TBC, receiving an Associates of Arts in Music. In May 2014, they were married and immediately began pastoring Calvary Tabernacle of Alto. In February 2015, they were asked to serve as the Section 4 Youth Director. Together they have a daughter, Payton Blair, and a son, Baylor Reed.
Lyndon & Megan Powell
Lyndon and Megan are extremely honored to serve the students of the Texas District. Currently, they pastor Greater Christian Life UPC in New Waverly, TX. They have been blessed with two beautiful children, Titus and Cora, and 12 years of marriage. Megan grew up in New Waverly and attended GCL where she met Lyndon when his parents took over the pastorate. Lyndon grew up in Louisiana. Lyndon and Megan both attended Sam Houston State University, where they received a BBA and BS respectively. Megan went on to medical school at UTMB Galveston, where they lived after getting married. After graduation, they moved to Lexington, Kentucky, where Megan completed 4 years of residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Upon arriving back to Texas they worked along side Lyndon’s father at GCL until being elected pastor in 2016. Lyndon has also served 3 years as the youth director for section 5. The Powell’s love to travel and have a heart for missions. Lyndon has been blessed to be a part of crusades in Bangladesh and Belize. They both love people and especially young people and their potential to accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God.
Brandon & Tiffani Looney
Brandon and Tiffani currently serve as the Associate Pastor of First UPC in Hillsboro and its daughter work, Waco Life UPC. As a former Student Pastor, they have a passion to see the lives of students changed and empowered to work for His kingdom. Brandon has previously served in other areas of ministry including Senior Pastor and Section 8 Youth Director. Tiffani has participated in several AYC journeys, as well as, serving as an Associate in Missions to Russia. She has also written and published a travel handbook through PPH for young people desiring a missions experience. Brandon, Tiffani, and son, Camden, reside in Trinidad, TX where he currently works as CFO of the public school district and she as Librarian. Together they are willing to make the time investment required by this position and they look forward to continuing to serve the students and pastors of the Texas District!
